Hi folks,
just scanned all cards from the Dragon Box.
And here you see some results:
The foil layer is very very glossy, the cards looks like varnished. They really doesn't look good. I don't like these cards.
And, you can see it on the pictures: the foil layer has a very poor quality. There are many defects in the foil layer, stripes and little dots.
The box: lots of useless millboard and plastics, a little piece of paper with a short description, not more.
Hey Wizards, you have produced a great piece of garbage. Dump it in the trashbin.

Thanks for the scanning!
Our Photoshop master will remove stripes.
We wait the final results.

No, Mahamoti D, these scans are not worth to release. extreme would have a lot to do, to remove the stripes. But if you look at the pictures, these stripes produce some shades on the cards. I see no possibilities to remove all these things. I will wait how the prices of the box will go. Eventually I will open my other two boxes to compile a set which is appropriate for scanning...

he's right, it's not just a question of removing the stripe, look at the kokushko.
I guess the foil pattern is not a uniform one, it has very pronounced margins and they don't blend.

Definitely worth to release if you can provide better (bigger) quality than this:
Ok, don't remove anything just upload the pics, please. We will use them happily as the other better or weaker scans...

I don't know if this is a good idea or not, but could it be possible to take a thick piece of glass to filter out some of the light spectrum when doing a scan of these cards? It may help, potentially. Basically; scanner, layer of thick glass, and then card? Just a thought worth looking into.

That would make the pic out of focus, and I don't think it's adjustable. Actually a scanner probably isn't ideal. I think macrophotography would do it, then you could adjust the light however you wanted. I'm sure someone will explain why that's impossible though.

That sux preset,
Looks like you may have gotten a bad run. A co-worker bought these and his do not have the foil layer run-off like yours do. I'm sure if you write wizards they might replace them for you.
Cheerios,

I just cracked my FTV Dragons and I have NONE of these lines. Unfortunately I have an HP all-in-one.

On my cards I also can't see these lines with bare eyes. Only if you magnify the cards, you'll detect this. And on scans of course. They tells the truth.I just cracked my FTV Dragons and I have NONE of these lines

Sorry PresetM,
Under careful scrutiny my buddies cards do NOT have the lines either (and trust me I have an exceptionally well trained eye). Your cards suffer from the foil layer running out during its application to the sheets. It's difficult to explain and a bit technical but you basically have two distinct foil layers in one card, where one layer is fused into another. This is because the roll of foil ran out, but before this layer runs out a second roll is fused together with the first to continue the layering process without interruption. Your cards just happened to be in the right place at the right time when this happened. I'll ask if my buddy will let me borrow the cards & scan em.

I tried to scan mine and noticed the same line.
However I think it is because of the scanning the line appears.
The card are heavily bent, and if you try to unbend it, the foil layer 'breaks' and creates the line you see. no ?
Anyways, mine are mostly useless for scanning. I think I may have some but I'll try again tomorrow. Right now the cards are under a pile of other cards trying to unbend them so they can actually be used in tournaments
